hutch-notify

what

backend for push notifications in hutch.

does

  • register apns device tokens
  • store notification subscriptions
  • poll sr.ht for changes
  • send pushes via apns

stack

python (fastapi), sqlite, apns (http/2, token auth).

status

early development. current scope: device registration and a test push endpoint. planned: build, ticket, and inbox notifications.

  • the ios app registers with apns and sends its token here.
  • keep the apns .p8 key secure.
  • event-driven eventually; the first version polls.
