A closed merge request can record the request that carried its change: mr close --by at close time, mr edit --superseded-by |none afterwards, an optional field on the web close form. The closed request's title line says "in favour of !M"; !M's page says "supersedes !N". Migration 0055 adds the column. Nothing is inferred from prose.
