Phase 4 of docs/specs/2026-10-01-cli-terminal-output-design.md.

  • CLI: --term gains truecolor (COLORTERM truecolor/24bit) and links (iTerm2, WezTerm, Ghostty, VS Code, kitty, VTE >= 5000, or GITBAY_LINKS=1; GITBAY_LINKS=0 off). GITBAY_TERM=basic sends width and colour only.
  • Server: Term.TrueColor, Term.Links; cSwatch (label list, org label list) and cLink (issue/mr/repo/build/release lists, admin repo list, search, dashboard, feed). A URL with a control byte is not linked.
  • Checks column glyphs: ✓ 3/3, ✗ 1 failed, • 2 pending.

Upgrade note in CHANGELOG: an instance older than this release turns the new options into plain output; GITBAY_TERM=basic until it is upgraded.
